Polished Concrete in Richmond

Polished concrete is a high-gloss finish achieved by using special floor polishers fitted with diamond-embedded disks to grind down surfaces to the desired degree of shine and smoothness. Epoxy flooring, on the other hand, is a type of floor coating that protects and gives life to new or old concrete floors. It is a resin-coated surface that is durable and resistant to wear and tear.

With proper care and maintenance, polished concrete floors can last indefinitely. They are known for their longevity and resistance to heavy foot traffic. Epoxy flooring, on the other hand, can last between 5 to 10 years depending on the level of foot traffic. However, with proper care, it can also last much longer.

Yes, both polished concrete and epoxy flooring can be used for residential surfaces. They provide a durable and aesthetically pleasing finish that can be customized to match the existing decor. They are great options for areas like basements, garages, kitchens, and living rooms.

Both polished concrete and epoxy flooring are easy to maintain. For polished concrete, regular dust mopping or wet mopping with a neutral floor cleaner is usually sufficient. For epoxy flooring, it can be cleaned with a dust mop or soft bristle broom for larger spaces, and a damp mop with a mild floor cleaner for general cleaning.
